Just got your update, as usual and appreciate it. I am sitting in an internet cafe in Barcelona Spain thinking what would make this setting even better-it would be without question listening to you....so I plugged in my ipod and thanks to the wonder of technology - walla..you´re here and now it´s a better evening.. only difference is we can´t share a cafe con leche together. By the way, I enjoyed a salt encrusted fish dinner the other night..like the people at that restaurant north of SanDiego from Spain,Franceprepare. I would sure enjoy hearing you on Valentine´s Day, what a great gift to share with a special person.

The Tio Lios's Internet Website section that shows the schedule wasn't working Sat May 7th and for at least a few days prior.
The fields on the website that supposed to show the bands was blank. The only way I knew you guys were playing there Sat May 7th was because I'm on your mailing list.
You all put on such a good show that there should have been many more people there.
But I'm glad I came out to see you play.
I really enjoyed your playing very much., made my day!
See Ya soon,
Tyrone

I caught Blue Largo at Patrick II's a few weeks ago, and my only regret is not buying both CDs at the time, now I'll order the other one. It was great to talk to Eric about his beginnings back east where I live. Eric, you may miss the rain, but I miss Patrick II's and the music.... now we're even. :) Alicia- awesome voice!

Eric, I want to thank you and Alicia for a fabulour show last night. You guys were in a total zone and it was magic. I am grateful that I was there and I got to be a part of that. Everybody in the car on the way home couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the evening. I truly believe that you have the best band in San Dieogo County. Thanks, Mike

I just returned home to Minneapolis after a busy week
in San Diego. Listening to your cds and remembering

of my week. You are great!! Please keep me posted on
your schedule and future cd releases. Thanks again for
the good music.

DEAR ERIC,
I've just received your welcome packet with cd's enclosed: it has been
a very quick trip from San Diego to Italy.
I really thank you a lot for your kindness and your care : I'm very grateful
to you.
They are both splendid. Great songs, widely known "standards", but also
tunes not so celebrated: wonderful choice ! My favorite ones ? Let's see...
surely the title-tracks, "HONKY TONK", "ONE FOR MY BABY",,,( I adore
Mercer & Sinatra ), "I'VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN", "HASTING STREET...",
"FEEL LIKE CRYIN' AGAIN", "LOVER MAN", the incredible rendition of
"BESAME MUCHO" (have you heard the bad news ? Miss Valasquez passed
away some days ago ). I like very much your two original ones: "AIN'T GONNA..."
is irresistebly "Crescent City bound". Curious question: is it yours the male voice
in "I'M STILL IN LOVE..." ?
Your elegant businness card is just right : this is AUTHENTIC BLUES, JAZZ &
SWING, played with skill, passion and joy. Sound is fresh, vital, dynamic;
atmosphere is warm and relaxed; swing is hot and infectous, but smooth and sweet
at the time.
ALICIA sings so good, soulful and inspired and Billie, Dinah, Julia, Helen, Ella (Johnson)
are back to this world again... YOUR guitar is the quintessence of "6 STRINGS SWING
STYLE" (T-Bone, Charlie, Freddie...), with a personal and original touch.
All the musicians involved in both projects are so clever. JONNY VIAU is an hell of a honker
and a fine "balladeur" and I'm very happy that my "beloved" CARL SONNY LEYLAND
is in there too. I have two excellent solo cd's ( "Gin Mill Jazz" and "I'm Wise" ), the intriguant
"Ain't No Doubt About It" of Jamie Wood and all the production of Big Sandy.
I could go on with compliments - believe me, sincere and from the bottom of my heart -
but I'm afraid it would be a real boredom...
So, thanks a lot again for your attention: these splendid cd's will be precious for my radioshow.
As attachment, you'll find a list of Italian Blues Fest. and Promoters, that could be useful to you.
Yes, I hope to see you In Italy or somewhere else one day.
Please, give my dearest greetings to ALICIA. C I A O ! A P R E S T O ! S W I N G O N !
Roberto.

A while back I asked if Blue Largo would play up here in Mt. Shasta. We're 60 miles north of Redding. I got the web for the Stage Door in town to check out. stagedoorcabaret.com Our town is small. The busiest time here would be during our international film festival, or the 4th of July run/walk. They can fill you in on any more questions you may have.

Eric and Alicia....

Blue Largo Wow! Saw you guys at the Coyote Cafe in Carlsbad. My wife Shellie was attending a medical conference in La Jolla and we decided to take a drive down the coast. We ended up at the Coyote Cafe for an early dinner and had the great fortune of catching your wonderful ensemble play a few sets of killer music! Alicia's voice is silky smooth with the great range of all the great female vocalists before her. Eric, your beautiful Gibson is made even more beautiful in your talented hands. And, that pianist! What can I say? She is an extremely gifted keyboardist who definitely knows her way around the "ivory". Lastly, the bottom layed down by that master of the acoustic bass really put the final and finishing touches on a repertoir that was absolutely stunning to witness and you all kept my knees and feet a tappin' through your whole set. I wish you guys were local here in Phoenix, AZ cuz we got one hell of an exciting blues scene here and you would fill the bill perfectly! I will, however, have another excuse to make it to the San Diego area more in the future to catch your exciting band. And, for sure, if I ever catch wind of you guys playing here in the desert, be assured of my enthusiastic presence at your shows!
Best of luck with your certain success!
Love you guys!
Kevin and Shellie

Hi Eric and Alicia,
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed myself last night at the Belly Up Tavern. The gig was great! Everyone was saying how they enjoyed themselves. They were enjoying listening and dancing. It was a great show, just wanted to let you know. It was good to see you both, it’s been too long. See you again soon I hope.
Warm regards, Art

The best "One for my Baby" ever . . .

Would it be just too strange to suggest "Brazil" and "Spooky" as tunex for Blue Largo to intepret?

Dear Blue Largo,
I bet people ask you this a lot; Will you ever go on the road?
The Stage Door Cabaret and Coffeehouse is North, midway between San

It reminds me of the Panniken in Del Mar.

My husband caught your act when he was in San Diego on a business trip. We were walking last week-end looking for the club he saw you at. We drove in from Burbank to find you and our luck that night was, we did. Now I understand why he was so insistant. You are awsome. We bought both CD's and dance at home until we see you again. Thanks for the music and the happiness it brings.

Eric, It's been years since I first heard you with King Biscuit... Jerry Kellerman and I would come in and check you guys out.
You were always so kind to me. Thanks. You invited me to sit in with you one night at the Wind (with rhumboogies I believe) Anyway you were always kind. I used to love when you would come to one of TomCats gigs when I was his guitar player... you would take my guitar and amp and twist some knobs and make it sound SOOO much better, but I never got that sound even after you turned it back over to me....dang!
Anyway, I wanted to say thanks and that I love your CD "what a day". You guys sound great. It was great seeing you at the Kerry Tyson-Phalen memorial concert a couple years ago.
